Based on the American herbal products association Botanical safety index, these guidelines are provided to create meaningful safety classifications and labeling recommendations for botanicals.

Botanicals should always be used in a rational and informed manner. Illness or negative reactions can occur from excessive consumption, individual sensitivities and allergic reactions. Seek qualified expert advise before using a botanical with which you are unfamiliar. Always consult a physician before starting any herbal remedy and consult a professional for personal dosage as this varies for individuals

Angelica Root; Not to be used during pregnancy. Avoid prolong exposure to sunlight.

Arnica Flowers; For external use only. Do not use on open wounds. Can cause allergic dermatitis.

Ashwagandha; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Barberry Root Bark; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Black Cohosh Root; Not to be used during pregnancy or while nursing

Black Walnut Hulls; Not recommended for long-term use.

Blessed Thistle Herb; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Blue Cohosh Root; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Boldo Leaf;Consult physician before use, if persons have gallstones, serious liver conditions, or obstruction of bile duct

Borage; Use with caution excessive use can cause liver damage

Calamus Root; For external use only

Camphor Granules; For external use only if properly diluted. POISON

Cascara Sagrada Bark; Do not use if you have abdominal pain or diarrhea, discontinue use if diarrhea or watery stools accrue. Consult physician if pregnant or nursing. Not for long-term use, do not exceed recommended dose.

Catnip Leaf & Flower; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Cayenne; Avoid contact with eyes or open wounds

Chamomile; Consult a DR. if you are allergic to Daises

Chaparral Leaf; History of liver disease consult physician. Discontinue use if nausea, fever, fatigue or jaundice occurs.

Chaste Tree Berries; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Coltsfoot Leaf; External use only. Do not apply if skin is broken or abraded. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Avoid excessive or long-term use.

Comfrey Root; External use only. Not applied to broken skin. Not to be used during pregnancy or while nursing. Not recommended for long-term use.

Dong Quai Root; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Elecampane Root; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Eucalyptus Leaf; Not used by those with inflammatory diseases of gastro-intestinal and bile ducts and severe diseases of the liver. Not used on areas of the face, especially nose in infants and young children

Feverfew Flowering Tops; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Feverfew Leaf; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Flax Seed; Ingested with at least 6 oz. Of liquid. Not for persons with bowel obstructions.

Ginger Root; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Ginkgo Leaf; May potentate pharmaceutical MAO inhibitors.

Golden Rod; Use with caution if you are allergic to the pollen, consult your Doctor

Golden Seal; Not to be used during pregnancy

Hi John; Not for consumption POISON

Hops (Flowers); Not recommended for use by persons suffering from depression

Horehound Herb; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Horsetail (shavegrass); Not recommended for long-term use, Equisetum arvense not to be used if you have cardiac or renal dysfunction.

Hydrangea; Not for long term use.

Hyssop Herb; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Juniper; Not for long term use. Not to be used during pregnancy

Kava Kava Root; Do not use if under 18, if pregnant or nursing consult a doctor, do not exceed recommended dose. Not recommended for consumption with alcohol.

Kola Nuts; Not to be used during pregnancy, not recommended for long term or excessive use. Not to be used if you have hypertension or gastric or duodenal ulcers.

Lemongrass; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Licorice Root; Not for prolonged or excessive use unless under doctor supervision. Not for use by persons with hypertension, hypokalemia, edema, cirrhosis, or the liver and cholestatic liver disorders and diabetes. Not to be used during pregnancy or while nursing.

Lobelia Herb; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Loveage Root; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Mandrake; Not for consumption POISON

Menthol Crystals; Keep out of reach of children, for external use only if properly diluted. POISON

Mistletoe Herb; Do not exceed recommended dosage, do not use if you have protein hypersensitivity and chronic-progressive infections such as tuberculosis and AIDS.

Motherwort Herb; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Mugwort; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Pennyroyal Herb; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Periwinkle Herb; Not for use by persons with low blood pressure or constipation.

Queen of the Meadow; External use only. Not applied to broken skin, not recommended for long-term use. Do not use if pregnant or nursing.

Red Clover Blossoms-Flowers; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Red Raspberry Leaf; Not to be used during last three months of pregnancy.
Rhubarb Root; Do not use if you have abdominal pain or diarrhea. Consult doctor if nursing or pregnant, not for long-term use, do not exceed recommended dose. Consult doctor and discontinue use in the event of diarrhea or watery stools.

Rosemary Leaf; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Rue Herb; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Safflower; Not to be used during pregnancy

Saint Johns Wart; May potentate pharmaceutical MAO inhibitors. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Sandalwood Red;Not for use by persons with diseases of parenchyma of the kidney. Do not use for more than six weeks unless under doctors orders.

Sassafras; for external use only

Senna Leaf; Do not use if you have abdominal pains or diarrhea. Do not use while pregnant or nursing. Not for long-term use. Discontinue use if diarrhea or watery stools accrue.

Uva Ursi Leaf; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Vervain; Not to be used during pregnancy

White Willow Bark; Consult a Doctor before using This herb is just like ASPRIN

Wild Cherry Bark; Do not exceed recommended dose, not for long-term use. Use with caution.

Wormwood Herb; Do not use while pregnant or nursing. Do not exceed recommended dose, or long-term use. Use with caution.

Yarrow Flowers; Not to be used during pregnancy.

Yellowdock Root; Not recommended for use by persons with a history of kidney stones.

Yohimbe Bark; May potentate pharmaceutical MAO inhibitors. Not recommended for long-term use. Contradicted in existing liver and kidney diseases and in chronic inflammation of the sexual organs or prostate glands.
