On the edge of British Columbia's Okanagan Valley where it meets the Monashee Mountains the Wildcraft Forest is home to the Yasei Sanctuary Forest Therapy Centre where over twelve different kinds of forest therapy and wildcrafting practices are presented and taught through daily excursions, retreats, certification and immersion programs.

Considered to be one of the top nature schools in the world, for over three decades the Wildcraft Forest School continues to foster scholars who are dedicated towards expanding the presence of spirituality and stewardship with nature. Through the growing of skills in areas of Forest Therapy, Shamanic Teachings, Environmental Responsibility and Ancient Wisdom our community continues to strengthen nature in over 40 countries.
Four satellite Yasei Sanctuary Forests are are part of our centre, each representing different kinds of energies and environments for learning and practicing Yasei Shinrin Yoku and plant spirit medicine.
You can join us in the forest through challenges, memberships, personal coaching programs, destination retreats and immersion experiences. You can become a guide or practitioner; and if you’re starting out, you can drop-in or even participate in one of our online Yasei Shinrin Yoku challenges.
The Wildcraft Forest is a leader in the practice of wildcrafting and has been delivering nature-based education and conservation programs since 1981.

Yasei Shinrin Yoku Forest Therapy Training Programs
Yasei Shinrin-Yoku means “Wild Forest Bathing” and incorporates wildcrafting, and includes a tangible understanding of the sentient forest. Yasei considers the expansion of our health, purpose and well-being as being directly related to the work that we do for the benefit of the forest – the practice considers that we and the forest are “one” and that through this presence the true natural balance of energy can be achieved that benefits both the individual and the natural world. If we invest in the health and growth of the forest then the forest will invest in us – the medium of exchange is “life-force”.
Yasei Shinrin Yoku combines the healing abilities presented by the natural world with spiritual and environmental stewardship contained within our practice of wildcrafting, which includes a tangible understanding of the sentient forest.
The Wildcraft Forest School offers a variety of Forest Therapy certification programs.
Practitioners Certification offers training for participants so that they can deliver the 12 Session Yasei Shinrin Yoku Program.
Guide Certification offers training for participants to deliver Basic Yasei Shinrin Yoku day programs.
Applied Forest Relational Intelligence (AFRI) is a structured training that equips forestry professionals with practical, field-relevant methods to improve how they observe, think, and lead within forest environments.
Forest Discipleship: Sanctuary Forest Practitioners Training is a leadership program to help communities, spiritual retreats, churches, temples, and other faith-based centres imagine how nature can be incorporated into their work and how nature can serve as a means to strengthen acts of empathy, mindfulness, reconciliation and discipleship.
Clinical Program: Yasei Shinrin-Yoku Bodywork and Spa Certifications provide bodywork practitioners and spas with enhanced opportunities that will compliment their independent practice.
For those interested in ancient wisdom, creative and Mystery School teachings we have additional offerings within the Heartstone Centre which is the Wildcraft Forest’s Mystery School.
